Overview
Kenya's classic triangle. Three nights in the Masai Mara give you the best chance with lion, leopard and cheetah. A lakeside stop at Naivasha breaks up the drive with a boat ride or a walk among giraffe and zebra. You finish in Amboseli, where elephant herds cross the plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.
The wildebeest migration usually reaches the Mara around July and moves on by November. The reserve is also home to around 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species.
